School trip to PARIS

Travel, travel...
To round off a year rich in learning and discovery, the S1FR1s spent a few days in Paris. To kick off the trip, we visited the Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte, had a picnic in the gardens and recited Molière in glorious sunshine and a dream setting! A visit to the Ateliers de Lumières gave us a chance to capture the flamboyant colours of Cézanne and the creative genius of Kandinsky in a very special environment, in stark contrast to the Louvre, a must-see on any visit to Paris. From the wings of the Victory of Samothrace to the enigmatic gaze of the Mona Lisa, the pupils were able to admire the wonders of the world's largest museum, ending their day with a cruise on a bateau-mouche. Finally, the Cité des Sciences delighted the most inquisitive pupils and gave them the opportunity to revisit part of the science curriculum. It was a great success, thanks to everyone's participation.
