ASA | After School Activities | S1 to S3

The ASA are an integral part of EIMAB's philosophy. They are offered by teachers and educational staff from 3:15 pm to 4:45 pm, Monday to Thursday. ASAs are mandatory for students in grades S1, S2, S3, VP1, VP2, and VP3 and offer a unique opportunity to participate in all kinds of activities with students from other grades.

Each student participates in four activities per week. Exemptions may be granted for students who already participate in extracurricular activities or for other reasons.

The ASAs are held quarterly. Teachers and facilitators compile a program each quarter that offers students activities in sports, the outdoors, relaxation, nature, gardening, orchards, beekeeping, the environment, art, crafts, upcycling, cooking, music, culture, reading, writing, and more. Additional activities include writing, debating, civics, solidarity, film, documentaries, media, science, new technologies, games (social studies, strategy), and various competitions. The program also includes ASA Silence, which is for students who wish to complete their homework in a quiet space without smartphones or other connected devices.

At the end of each term, every student receives a certificate listing the extracurricular activities they participated in.

Here are some proven benefits of ASAs:

»Development of key skills for personal, social, and professional life, including:
 »Emotional self-management
 »Organizational skills
 »Sense of responsibility and leadership
»Interpersonal skills and respect for life in general
 »Teamwork skills
 »Public speaking skills

»Improved academic performance: There is a clear correlation between participation in extracurricular and after-school programs and a student's level of success. At the same time, truancy decreases, thus reducing the risk of dropping out.
»Self-discovery: Students can explore their interests and discover new perspectives.
»Increased self-esteem: By showing appreciation for students, the school aims to foster their self-esteem.
»Social opportunities and respect for others: Students have the opportunity to make new friends with similar interests, which promotes academic and social integration.
»Joy and well-being at school become a reality!
»EIMAB’s educational concept is also based on projects for socialization, the development of social skills, and citizenship, in which all children and young people enrolled at our school participate. The concept aims to recognize, promote, and refine their social skills in their entirety.

Factories | from S4 (optional)

The EIMAB Factories are built on the three pillars of the EIMAB concept as thematic platforms that bring together various activities and projects with a common driving principle and shared goals. Each Factory is managed by a coordination group comprised of motivated and inspiring members of the teaching and non-teaching staff.

In consultation with the students involved in one or more Factories, these groups coordinate the various activities and projects by providing administrative, technical, and material support to students in grades 4-7 who:
- freely decide whether or not to participate in a Factory,
- are welcomed as decision-making, action, and responsibility partners according to the established model,
- attend one or more Factories depending on availability,
- commit to sharing their talents and skills with their Factory colleagues in a peer-to-peer setting,
- may receive an annual certificate of participation that reflects their commitment and contributes to their individual portfolio.
